The Ducati 996 is the natural evolution of the original 916.

Sure, it is still a V-twin, 4 stroke, with a 4 valve head engine, all beautifully put together inside a trellis frame, but the 996 has many improvements on Tamburini´s original masterpiece.

It is without doubt a beautiful bike,it also plays a stunning soundtrack. If you only ever get the chance to have one Ducati during your motorcycling life the 996 is the one to have.

But take care with the 996cc V-twins it is capable of propelling you at a staggering top speed of 170mph-plus.
