What type of fork oil should I use for a 2001 ducati supersport 750?

The Ducati 750 SS owner's manual states that you should use Shell advance fork 7.5 or donax TA. But what if you can't find it? Well you can also use Spectro Golden Cartridge Fork Fluid 7.5W (125/150 is 7.5W).
If you can't find that either then your best bet is to go to your local ducati dealer and ask the service department. Not only will you get a prompt answer from someone who knows what they're talking about you will also get the oil over the counter there and then!

what engine oil should I use for my Ducati Monster?

Well, there are a lot of oils out there and if you ask the same question of 10 Ducati Monster owners you'll probably get 10 different answers. But this is my blog, so here goes....

Lets start with the owners manual: Ducati recommend that you use SHELL Advance Ultra 4, SAE 20w-50. In practice there's not a lot of difference between quality automotive oils and motorcycle specific oils. In which case it is safer to stick with what your manual tells you.

A far more important point is how frequently you change your oil.

What kind of fuel mileage does a Ducati get?

Mike Rotch asked:

I'm looking into a Ducati 999 and I wanna know how good it's gas mileage gets and what type of fuel it takes.

Well, you will get about 150 miles out of the 4.1 gallon tank which is slightly less than its predecessor the 998 - although that had a 4.5 gallon tank. My guess is that, if you are serious about owning a 999 fuel economy is probably not your main concern.
The Ducati 999 is an incredible machine capable of exceeding 170mph but more importantly its handling is razor sharp and it is a truly beautiful motorcycle.
